Serge Blanco is a former rugby player who played both professionally within France and represented them on the international stage. known for being flamboyant both on and off the pitch (and known to smoke three packs of cigarettes a day), Blanco went in to business after his career ended, opening hotels throughout France and starting an eponymously-titled sportswear line. the fall/winter 08/09 Serge Blanco collection contains beautifully tailored wool and cotton knits, with touches of leather and denim and a full range of children's items. my highlight has to be the bags, which may be slightly over-branded but somehow come off as opulent instead. centered around classic rugby cuts and styles, this line represents the tops in European sportswear.
